Our Butterfly Room is designed to support children’s development as they prepare for the transition to BIG school.
A play based program still operates in this room but educators encourage and build on children’s interests and ideas and support their ongoing development. Challenges are provided to encourage children to think of new ideas and thoughts and active participation in group times and the room overall is encouraged.
Children’s self help skills are continually a focus as they have more responsibility to look after their own belongings, and other essential development to support them in this transition.
Children are encouraged and supported to self regulate their behaviours and support each other.
